Why aren’t the staff's checks showing on the Taqt portal?

My staff check on the device but I can't see the data, what should I do?

If your staff check on a TaqtOne but it doesn't appear on the dashboard, several reasons may explain the missing data.
Here are the most common explanations and the steps you should take to sort it out.

1. 🪪 The NFC tag used is not recognized by the portal

Issue:
The NFC tag used is an external one that has never been registered in your Taqt environment.

Consequences:

  • The device detects the event but it is not identified as “valid”

  • No data appears in the Reports or Taks menus

What to do:

  • Identify the NFC tag used by your staff member(s)

  • Go to the Users & Teams section→ Badges tab

  • Get the NFC validated through the three grey dots at the end of the line and optionally assign it to a user

2. 📶 Data is not yet available

Issue:
The device is working properly but the data has not yet been sent to the dashboard.

Standard delay:

  • Data usually appears within lass than 15 minutes

  • Depending on signal strength or configuration, delays may be longer

What to do:

  • Check the Data menu again after a short wait

  • If nothing appears after 1 hour, check the device status (see next section)

  • If no data appears after 24 hours, contact our support team

3. 🔋 The device is not functioning properly

Issue:
The NFC tag was presented but the TaqtOne failed to detect or register the event.

Symptoms:

  • No screen refresh

  • No blinking LED

Checks to perform:

  • Make sure the device is powered and connected (batteries in good condition)

  • Check if the screen is responsive and not frozen

  • If needed, restart the device using the provided magnet and test badging again

4. ❌ Incorrect NFC use

Issue:
The staff think they check correctly but the action was incomplete or incorrect.

Common mistakes:

  • NFC moved too quickly across the reader

  • NFC not placed on the center of the detection area

  • Button pressed instead of using an NFC

  • NFC reversed or defective

Best practices to remind your staff members:

  • Present the NFC flat against the center of the reader for 1–2 seconds

  • Wait for visual or sound confirmation (screenrefresh and message, LED flash, etc.)

  • Avoid waving or tapping the NFC too fast
