Learn what the "Heart" icon means in the Taqt dashboard's Data module. Understand what a Keep Alive signal is and how it ensures your devices are working correctly.
The Heart icon refers to a Keep Alive signal. This is a message sent once a day by a device to confirm that it is still properly connected and able to transmit data.
This helps verify that the device is active and working well, even when no event (such as button presses or badge scans) has been registered.
You can see the Heart icon within the Data module of the Taqt dashboard, where all the events reported by your devices are listed. Among various types of icons (services, votes, etc.), the Heart may appear to indicate a Keep Alive message.
Each device is set up to send one Keep Alive per day.
This message is generally sent between 4:00 and 5:00 AM.
Note: In case of a network issue, the Keep Alive may be sent at a different time during the day.
If the device already has other data to transmit (e.g., button presses, tags, etc.) at the time of the scheduled Keep Alive, the Heart icon will not be shown. Instead, you will see the usual event data that was sent during that time.
