Commissioning your Ubiqod Key: step-by-step setup guide

Commissioning your Ubiqod Key

Introduction

When you receive your Ubiqod Key, the screen is blank and the batteries are not inserted. This precaution helps prevent screen burn-in and preserves battery life during transport.

Make sure to follow the steps below carefully before inserting the batteries.

Add your Ubiqod Key to your account

Before handling the device, you must add your Ubiqod Key to your account from the Ubiqod interface.

Once done, your Ubiqod Key will appear in your list of trackers:

Prepare your smartphone

When the batteries are inserted, a QR code will appear on the screen. It remains valid for about one minute.

Be ready to scan the QR code with your smartphone as soon as it appears.

Insert the batteries and scan the QR code

Procedure

  1. Insert the batteries into the Ubiqod Key.

  2. Wait for the QR code to be displayed.

  3. Scan the QR code with your smartphone within one minute.

If the scan is successful

A success message will appear on your smartphone.

If the scan fails

  • Remove the batteries,

  • Reinsert them,

  • Restart the scan procedure.

If the problem persists, contact support at: support@ubiqod.com

Important note

This scan procedure must be repeated every time you insert the batteries into your Ubiqod Key.
