How to restrict or expand a user’s access?
🔐 Managing user access
Taqt’s portal gives precise control over user permissions whether they are internal team members or external collaborators. You can define their access scope, limit their rights or grant them full access to all menus and devices based on their status.
📍 Restricting or expanding a user’s scope
A user’s scope defines which locations, projects or teams they can access.
To modify a user’s scope:
Go to the Users & Teams.
Locate the user you wish to edit.
Click the three dots at the end of the row, then select “Edit User.”
Add or remove:
Locations (e.g., Paris Agency, 1st Floor Restrooms)
Projects or teams if necessary
Click Save to confirm.
✅ The user will only see data related to the selected locations / devices.
🔄 Changing a user’s role
You can also change a user’s status (Administrator / Editor / Reader).
Steps:
From the Users & Teams menu, research the user and click the three dots at the end of the row to edit their profile.
In the edit window, change the account role and Save.
Only Administrators and Editors can modify another user’s role.
🧠 Management Tips
Assign the Editor role to site managers or regional managers so they can manage their teams independently without full account access.
For contractors or external contacts, prefer the Reader or External status with a strictly defined scope.
Remember to revoke access for users who change roles or leave the company (via the three dots > “Disabled User”).
