What is an interface in Ubiqod?

Definition of an interface

In the Ubiqod platform, an interface is a web page displayed on a user's smartphone when they interact with a tracker, such as a QR code (QOD) or an Ubiqod Key. It defines the actions or information presented to the user, facilitating processes like clocking in, activity tracking, or customer feedback collection.

Types of available interfaces

Ubiqod offers several types of interfaces to meet various needs:

Feedback

This interface is designed to collect customer feedback. Upon submission, two actions occur:
  • An email is sent to the users of the Ubiqod account (this option can be disabled in the account settings).
  • Data is transmitted via the configured dispatches.

Specific options:

  • Custom redirections: Allows redirecting the user to a specific page based on their satisfaction level.

  • Add message and email capture: Gives customers the option to leave a comment and their email address.

Single Choice

This interface presents up to six buttons from which the user can select one option. Each button corresponds to a specific action.

Specific options:

  • Code mode: Interprets a sequence of button presses as a unique code.

  • PIN code list: Associates a list of PIN codes with the interface to map identifiers to labels.

  • Remember a PIN code: Retains the PIN code entered by the user for a specified duration, facilitating future interactions.

Multiple Choice

Similar to the single choice interface but allows the user to select multiple options simultaneously. Each choice triggers a distinct action.

Digit

This interface enables the user to enter a numerical value.

Specific options:

  • Scan mode: Uses the smartphone's camera to scan a personal ID in the form of a QR code.

  • PIN code list: Associates a list of PIN codes to map identifiers to labels.

  • Remember a PIN code: Retains the entered PIN code for a specified duration.

Custom Redirection

If you prefer to use your own interface when a user scans a QOD or an Ubiqod Key, this option allows redirecting the user to a web page of your choice, with the possibility of transmitting dynamic parameters.

General options for interfaces

Some options are common to multiple interface types:

  • Show instructions: Displays a message at the top of the screen to guide the user.

  • Show tracker name: Displays the tracker's label at the top of the pages as a title.

  • Enable geofencing: Verifies that the user is at the expected location using their GPS position (requires user authorization).

  • Enable photo: Allows users to add a photo to their comment, with options to choose the default camera and resolution.

Interfaces for connected devices (IoT)

For connected devices from the Taqt range, the interface allows adding metadata to different types of events. For example, you can assign custom labels to the actions of buttons on devices like Smilio A, Smilio S, and Smilio E.

Specific options:

  • Code mode: Interprets a sequence of button presses as a unique code.

  • Badge list: For devices such as Clock S, Clock ST, and Clock R, it's possible to associate a list of badges with the interface to identify users.
