Ubiqod Badge Lists: How to Create and Use Them

What is a Badge List in Ubiqod?

Identify users with Badge Lists

In the Ubiqod platform, a badge list allows you to associate a badge with a specific label or external reference, such as an employee ID. These badges can be RFID/NFC types like Clock S and Clock E, or active badges like the Clock R.

For example, you can link a badge number to an employee's identifier in your Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Implementing badge lists provides several useful features:

  • Data Filtering: Ensures that data is transmitted only when an authorized badge (one included in your badge list) is presented.

  • System Mapping: Creates a link between the badge used and the user's ID in an external system, such as an employee ID in HR software.

  • Custom Labeling: Allows assigning a specific label to each badge (e.g., the employee’s name) without additional configuration in a third-party system.

Creating and Configuring a Badge List

To create a badge list:

  1. Navigate to the Interfaces menu.

  2. Open the Badge List tab.

  3. Click on the + CREATE button.

  4. Add badges manually or import them from a CSV file.

  5. For each badge entry, you can add a clear label and external references (for example, a personal ID from your HR software).

Using a Badge List

Once your badge list is created, simply associate it with your chosen interface through the General Options. This will automatically activate the features described above and simplify the management of badge-based identifications.
