TaqtOne Buttons: Modes and Settings
Here we will describe how to use and configure the buttons on a TaqtOne device (whether capacitive or touch-less) for a check-in experience that fits the operational needs.
Overview
Each TaqtOne can be composed with up to 5 configurable buttons.
-
Buttons can be enabled or disabled remotely.
-
If someone wish to change the button layout, a front panel replacement is available. The configuration must then be updated accordingly.
Common Use Cases
-
No button: simple check-in
-
2 buttons: in/out tracking
-
3 buttons: smileys, service request, etc.
TaqtOne buttons operate in two modes:
Touch-less mode is available only for configurations with 1 to 3 buttons.
For 4 and 5 buttons, the device switches to capacitive mode to avoid false triggers.
Press and Delay
By default, there is a 3-second delay between two presses to prevent accidental multiple inputs. During this delay, no additional input is recorded.
This delay can be adjusted (shortened or extended) based on the needs of the customer.
