Integrated forms in Ubiqod come with a geolocation option. When activated, the user is prompted to authorize geolocation. Their current position at the time of submission is then transmitted along with the submitted form data. It is available in the connectors for mapping.
Why use geolocation in Ubiqod?
Geolocation in Ubiqod enhances data reliability by ensuring that submissions are made from the expected location. This feature is particularly useful for:
- Proof of presence: Confirm that a person is physically at a specific site when submitting a form.

How accurate is geolocation in Ubiqod?
The accuracy of geolocation depends on the smartphone and the technology used.
There are apps available in app stores that allow users to spoof a phone’s geolocation. Therefore, geolocation cannot be used as indisputable proof of presence for use cases that require verified presence, such as time tracking. In such cases, using SafeQod is recommended.
Is user consent required?
Yes. When geolocation is enabled, the user must grant permission before their location is captured. If permission is denied, Ubiqod will proceed with form submission but without location data.
